TAKE A HIKE

The weather is warm and the breeze is wonderful, but we're sitting on the couch. Ugh!

With the idea from my other half, we decide to check out the preserve nearest our middle-of-nowhere abode and we loved it!

Mulitple hiking trails wind their way between pines and around lakes full of bass and other aquatic creatures. Granted we can't bring the pups along for the stroll, it was still so relaxing and serene. Not to mention the wildlife the kid got to see and explore along the way. From snakes to birds to wildflowers, he was running around and sucking up every drop of knowledge and stories we had to share. He really is all boy!

There's nothing better than shutting down the electronics and enjoying what the world has to offer.
And at the grand total $1 in gas it took to get there, I think we'll be here often.
